Investing Team

Amy Banse

Amy has over 25 years of experience investing in, acquiring, and building companies at Comcast. Leading Comcast Ventures, she sets strategies, invests in companies like Nextdoor, TuneIn and Houzz, and determines how to support our portfolio through the Comcast NBCUniversal platform. In 2004, Amy launched Comcast Interactive Media, leading the development of Comcast’s early digital strategy, including their first video streaming platform and the acquisition and operation of digital properties like Fandango. She started at Comcast as a lawyer overseeing the creation, acquisition and development of Comcast's early cable network portfolio, including E! and The Golf Channel. Amy serves on the boards of Adobe, Clorox, TuneIn, Quantifind and the non-profit Tipping Point Community. She received her B.A. from Harvard, her J.D. from Temple and life knowledge from balancing four kids and a full career.

Gil Beyda

Gil Beyda is an accomplished investor who started his career as a software developer and serial entrepreneur. His first startup, Mind Games, developed games for the original Apple II. After many years of technology consulting around the world, Gil founded his second startup, Real Media in online advertising, acquired by 24/7 Media in 2001. After AOL bought his third startup TACODA behavioral targeting ad network in 2007, he moved from building successful companies to investing in them. Gil founded Genacast Ventures in partnership with Comcast Ventures, focused on seed-stage technology startups in the Northeast. Gil has a never-ending curiosity and passion to explore a broad spectrum of sectors as well as future frontier technology. He received his B.S. in computer science and MBA from California State University-Northridge.

Andrew Cleland

Andrew brings an analytical mindset and deep vertical expertise to his companies, focusing on customer care, marketing tech, artificial intelligence, and the future of work. He sits on the boards of Data+Math, Enigma, FanDuel, Heleo, Lytics, SundaySky and Windsor Circle, and led CV’s investment in Interactions. He came to Comcast Ventures from Time Warner Investments, where he focused on early-stage media and technology companies. Running nightclubs while in college, Andrew started his formal career in Booz Allen & Hamilton’s media practice, and was then COO of a music startup in London called TrustTheDJ. He has a Master’s degree in Economics from Edinburgh University and received his MBA from INSEAD in France.

Daniel Gulati

Daniel makes early-stage investments in entrepreneurs building marketplaces, commerce companies, social networks, mobile apps, media, and other consumer products and platforms. He also leads Forecast Fund, our consumer seed fund. Before becoming a VC, Daniel founded FashionStake, a marketplace for independent fashion acquired by Fab.com. Before that, he was a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. His book Passion & Purpose: Stories from the Best and Brightest Young Business Leaders was published by Harvard Business Publishing and selected to JP Morgan’s 13th Summer Reading List. He was one of three investors recognized for the National Venture Capital Association’s 2019 Rising Star Award. He holds a B.Com from the University of New South Wales and an MBA from Harvard.

Sam Landman

For the last 15 years, Sam has invested in and helped build a range of consumer internet businesses. At CV, he’s led investments in media businesses like Fullscreen, Cheddar, Vimeo and Taboola, in social businesses like Nextdoor and Houseparty, in financial service businesses like Acorns, Hippo and Kensho, and in commerce businesses like Zola, Dandelion and KeyMe. He also founded Comcast Accelerate, CV’s growth platform that supports portfolio companies with TV-based acquisition support. Before CV, Sam focused on seed-stage investments at Genacast Ventures and led BD efforts at The Electric Sheep Company, an Emmy award-winning creator of virtual worlds and social games, where he led partnerships with NBC, CBS, Warner Brothers and the NBA. Sam started his investment career at the Invemed Catalyst Fund. He graduated from Bucknell University and received his MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.

Dinesh Moorjani

Dinesh is a serial entrepreneur and CEO, turned tech investor. He was the Founder and CEO of Hatch Labs Inc, where he built numerous mobile enterprise software and consumer tech companies from ground up. Dinesh cofounded Tinder (NASDAQ: MTCH) in 2012. Dinesh is an LP and advisor at Warburg Pincus, where he previously served as an Exec-in-Residence. He held leadership roles at IAC/InterActiveCorp and Samsung Electronics in the US and Asia. He cofounded Saffronart, a leading fine art auction house and eCommerce marketplace, where he remains on the board. Dinesh spent his early career at AD Little and Goldman Sachs, and was an early employee at Mainspring (IPO in July 2000, acquired by IBM in 2001). He serves as an independent board director at Alight, and on the advisory boards of American Express and Assurant. Dinesh is an active faculty member at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and guest lectures at Harvard and Columbia. He also serves on the board of the United Friends of the Children, a non-profit helping troubled foster youth, and the HBS California Research Center advisory board. Dinesh earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and his MBA from Harvard.

Rick Prostko

Rick is an experienced investor with a background in investment banking and corporate finance. He seeks to understand the evolving consumer mindset and always has a pulse on future trends. With investments like Hollar, Instacart and Dollar Shave Club, which exited to Unilever, he spends his time finding consumer, digital media and marketplace opportunities. He is passionate about working with pioneers of tomorrow and working tirelessly alongside them, particularly where they are merging the physical and digital worlds to transform consumer experiences for the better. Rick began his career as an investment banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and held investor roles at Summit Partners and VantagePoint Capital Partners. He earned his B.A. in Politics from Princeton University.

David Zilberman

DZ has been working with early stage companies as an operator, advisor, and investor for over 20 years. He has invested in more than 20 startup companies in his career. At Comcast Ventures, he currently focuses on enterprise software, cybersecurity, and financial services. DZ has invested in such companies as Aporeto, BitSight, Brightside, DocuSign, EdgeConnex, Lendio, Slack and Vox Media. He's also a board member and chair of the finance committee of BellXcell, non-profit education organization. He started his career at Lehman Brothers in investment banking, gaining a foundation in finance and advising companies going through strategic transformation. As a senior business development executive at Flarion Technologies, he played a pivotal role in the company’s fundraising activities and eventual acquisition by QUALCOMM. He graduated with a Finance degree from Binghamton University.

Kai Bond

Kai Bond is a Principal at Comcast Ventures where he leads investing in Catalyst Fund, our seed-stage fund focused on investing in underrepresented founders. In addition to his work at Catalyst Fund, Kai leads gaming and esports investments for Comcast Ventures in NYC. Kai is a repeat founder who has launched and successfully exited companies in the gaming and interactive media space over the last decade. Prior to joining Comcast Ventures, Kai was the founder of pixieTV, an interactive SmartTV platform that was acquired by Samsung in 2014. After successfully launching that product globally as Samsung EXTRA, Kai moved into the role of GM at Samsung NEXT where he led the investment and incubation of new software startup businesses in New York. Kai has held leadership positions in product strategy, business development, and M&A at Microsoft, GLG, and Hatch Labs. Kai graduated with a B.A. in international relations from Wesleyan University.

Andy Cao

Andy focuses on enterprise software and cybersecurity investments at Comcast Ventures. Andy was previously a founding member of Sunstone Partners, a spinout of Trident Capital, where he focused on growth equity investments in enterprise software and tech-enabled services businesses. Andy began his investing career at Trident Capital and prior to that worked in investment banking at Citigroup. Andy graduated from the Jerome Fisher Program at the University of Pennsylvania where he received dual degrees from the Wharton School and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Dylan Gale

Dylan is passionate about early stage consumer internet companies, tech-enabled services, and new emerging platforms at the intersection of hardware and software. His prior role at Airbus Ventures focused on hard tech in the aerospace and industrial manufacturing environments. Prior to becoming an investor, Dylan developed a deep understanding of financial technology and how to build companies in heavily regulated sectors from his time at Motif Investing. He started his career as an investment banker at Wells Fargo Securities. Dylan graduated with a B.S. in business administration with a dual concentration in finance and accounting from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Chris Hill

Chris holds a diverse range of investment and consulting experience in areas including SaaS, consumer marketplace, entertainment, and real estate technologies. His limitless view of the connected world comes from curiosity and deep-rooted industry connections in the Los Angeles startup ecosystem. Prior to joining Comcast Ventures, Chris served as Principal at Siemer & Associates where he focused on digital media and software startup transactions. He spent his early career as SVP at IMT Capital where he identified growth opportunities and implemented the M&A due diligence process for the firm. In 2013, he was appointed by California’s governor to join the State of California Workforce Investment Board. He received his B.A. in History from Yale.

Fatima Husain

Fatima Husain is a Principal at Comcast Ventures focusing on marketplaces, consumer products, and health technology. Prior to joining CV, Fatima was a senior Growth Product Manager at Airbnb leading multiple teams, and driving strategy and execution of user growth programs globally. She was one of the early employees at Airbnb and helped launch and scale their East Coast operations in 2014. Fatima started her career at Bain & Company where she concentrated on a variety of industries including Healthcare, Retail, Financial Services, Media, Education, and Private Equity. She is also passionate about social impact and has worked alongside Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi to decipher global economic trends around forced labor migration and propose policy solutions for the same. Fatima graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Biology and Master’s in Public Health.

Sheena Jindal

Sheena is a Principal at Comcast Ventures focusing on consumer startups. She started her career at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) advising clients in the financial services and retail sectors on growth strategy and transformation efforts. Following her time at BCG, Sheena joined the Corporate Strategy Group at Hudson’s Bay Company/Saks Fifth Avenue, driving the future of omni-channel commerce across the HBC banners, including Saks, off-fifth, and Lord and Taylor. She then transitioned to an e-commerce platform, Symphony Commerce, leading Strategy and Operations for their luxury clients. Prior to joining the team at CV, Sheena spent some time at Bessemer focused on Consumer opportunities. While at business school, Sheena spent her summer at Google focused on strategy for emerging products. She graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Economics and M.B.A from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Morgan Polotan

Morgan is a Principal at Comcast Ventures and Genacast Ventures (our dedicated seed fund). His role includes sourcing new deals, evaluating investment opportunities, and supporting existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Genacast, Morgan worked at Bloomberg Beta, the venture firm backed by Bloomberg. He also spent time as a software engineer at Tapad and as a Market-Based Management instructor at the Charles Koch Institute. Morgan earned his B.S. from Northeastern University.

Adam Spivack

Adam Spivack is a Principal at Comcast Ventures exploring innovation in AI, Data, the Future of Work, and Enterprise software. Prior to joining CV, he led the advertising trading group for FreeWheel Media, a company acquired by Comcast in 2014. There, he developed a global trading desk and advertising exchange between the world’s largest media companies and agencies. He started his career as a management consultant at Deloitte Consulting, gaining expertise in data management, mobile payments, and enterprise software. Adam graduated from Duke University with a B.A. in Public Policy with a certificate in Markets & Management.

Francesco Balestra

Francesco Balestra brings a strong foundation in computer science, mechanical design, and product management to his role as an associate at Comcast Ventures. With expertise in data science and analytics, he provides business guidance and strategy to companies and investment strategy to the firm. He distills complex issues and creates systematic solutions to enhance operations at the firm. Prior to joining Comcast Ventures, Francesco worked at Jet.com where he developed e-commerce operational intelligence and evaluated the potential impact of new technologies on retail. He started his career in product development at Boeing, modeling and testing early aircraft system designs. In college, he worked with Army Research Labs to develop an autonomous unmanned ground vehicle. Francesco graduated from the Olin College of Engineering with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and received his MBA from Harvard.

Kim Armor

Kim is the CFO and Managing Director at Comcast Ventures. She leads finance and strategic partnerships for the venture investing arm of Comcast NBCUniversal. She also overseas operations and administration, managing the growth of Comcast Ventures’ presence in Philadelphia, New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Kim serves as a board member for portfolio companies including SheKnows, SnagFilms, and CTI Towers. Prior to joining Comcast Ventures, she was the CFO and SVP of Business Development for VERSUS, where she grew all business metrics, positioning the company for a merger with NBC Sports. She held leadership positions at Disney, ESPN, and ABC and worked for KPMG in its audit practice. Kim graduated from Penn State and received her MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Chandler Cribe

Chandler focuses on operational accounting and portfolio reporting as a key member of the finance and operations team. Prior to joining CV, Chandler was an accountant at EVO Payments where he streamlined and automated journal entry and T&E processes for subsidiaries both domestic and international. Chandler reported to the CAO on variance analysis and accrual analytics. He also assisted in creating internal controls that helped the company go public. He graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.S. in accounting.

Arjun Kapur

As Comcast Ventures’ Growth Partner, Arjun focuses on helping existing investments scale efficiently across multiple functions. Arjun brings 15-years of domestic and international operating experience running Marketing, Growth, Product Management, Analytics, Operations, and P&L management. As part of his role incubating portfolio companies, he oversees the Accelerate program which enables startups to test and scale tv advertising. He is also part of the investing team. Prior to CV, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at AAPTIV Inc and held executive leadership positions at HelloFresh, Tictail, Shutterstock Inc., Squarespace.com, and TheLadders.com. Arjun also serves as an advisory board member at Calm Inc., and Ollie Pets Inc. He graduated with a B.A. in Financial Economics and Integrated Marketing from Southeast Missouri State University.

Chris King

Chris applies his wide range of legal experience to help our portfolio companies and fund on legal matters relating to new portfolio investments, existing portfolio company activities, and legal due diligence. At the global law firm of DLA Piper LLP, he advised startups and emerging growth companies, venture capital funds, and private equity funds in venture financings and M&A transactions. Early in his career, he served as a U.S. District Court Law Clerk in Massachusetts. Chris graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.

Andrew Kwok

Andrew drives Comcast Ventures’ Accelerate program, focused on helping startups break into television advertising as a customer acquisition channel. With a deep background in marketing and data analytics, he identifies, guides and optimizes growth opportunities for consumer-facing companies within our portfolio. Prior to CV, Andrew was a strategist and media analyst at OMD USA agency, driving digital investment strategy for Wells Fargo marketing campaigns. He earned his B.S. from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.

Sue Kwon

Sue leads Communications including PR, Marketing, and executive communications. She applies her background in content marketing and corporate communications to amplify Comcast Ventures’ brand, people and portfolio companies. Prior to Comcast Ventures, Sue led Communications at Honor home care startup and held leadership roles at Nokia Technologies and Symantec cybersecurity company. She served as Chief Storyteller at Gap Inc. during the retailer’s global expansion and digital transformation. Her past life as a technology reporter for NBC and CBS stations and newscast producer for ABC is leveraged by portfolio companies who need help with story creation, live events, PR, and media training, Sue received her B.A. in Political Science and Communications from Stanford University.

Kristy Leong

Kristy leads marketing and communications initiatives at Comcast Ventures, focusing on brand awareness and deal flow generation through content strategy and event marketing. She applies solid traditional marketing skills gained from working with companies in telecommunications, media, pharmaceuticals, mobile gaming, and online publishing. Before joining the marketing function, Kristy led partnerships, identifying business development opportunities between portfolio companies and Comcast NBCUniversal. Her skills in analytics, digital media, and startup growth stem from sales and strategy roles at General Mills and Digitas Health. Kristy earned a B.A. in Economics and an MBA in operations and enterpreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania.

Kyle Peters

Kyle leads the day-to-day finance and operations for Comcast Ventures, reporting to the CFO. He oversees portfolio reporting and operational accounting including the marketing / communications and office management functions. He began his career in public accounting before joining the Comcast Corporate Reporting team, where he completed high-level financial statement analysis and consolidated financial reporting. Kyle graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a B.S. in Accounting.

Derek Squire

Derek oversees all legal activities at Comcast Ventures. He brings 20 years of legal expertise to his leadership role which includes structuring and negotiating new investments and exit transactions. Derek also advises the investing team on legal issues relating to their portfolio companies. Derek is well-positioned in corporate venture as he also serves as Vice President and Senior Deputy General Counsel of Comcast Corporation, responsible for acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and other corporate transactions by Comcast, NBCUniversal, Sky, and their various subsidiaries. Derek graduated with a B.A. in Economics and Government from Dartmouth College and received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Gabrielle Toledano

Gaby is serving as an Operating Partner across all aspects of Talent, working with Comcast Ventures’ portfolio companies. Prior to CV, Gaby was Chief People Officer at Tesla, leading the Human Resources, Recruiting, Environmental Health & Safety, and Security & Facilities organizations. Preceding Tesla, Gaby was the EVP and Chief Talent Officer at Electronic Arts for 10 years responsible for global Human Resources, Facilities, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Prior to EA, Gaby served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Siebel Systems through its sale to Oracle. She has also held HR positions with Microsoft Corporation and Oracle Corporation. She is on the Board of Directors of Glu Mobile, Namely, Visier, and Keystone Consulting. Gaby received her B.A. in Modern Thought and Literature and Master’s in Education from Stanford University.

Madura Wijewardena

Madura leads strategic partnerships to drive value between our portfolio companies and business units of Comcast Corporation and outside companies. He helps structure new commercial partnerships that leverage Comcast Cable, NBCUniversal and Sky’s platforms and reach to provide more than capital to our portfolio companies. Prior to joining us, Madura led broadband market analysis at Comcast Corporation, which supported corporate regulatory and competitive strategies and M&A. He also led partnerships with external thought-leader influencers to drive strategic goals. Earlier in his career, he worked in demographic data analysis and structured and negotiated telecom, technology and media transactions in the Asia-Pacific for multinationals. Madura holds a master’s degree from the University of Chicago focusing on quantitative analysis and a law degree and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Sydney, Australia.
