We’re dusting off our Medium publication with a plan to unleash stories and announcements about our team, founders, and topics that are so interesting, you’ll come back for more. Let’s start off with this straightforward bit of news.

Comcast Ventures is growing. We’re looking to add a Principal and an Associate to our San Francisco-based enterprise-focused investment team.

The roles are different, but the goal is shared. The team works hard to bring in opportunities to invest in founders building companies that are transforming the way businesses do business, grow, and empower employees. Let’s name-drop a few of the B2B startups we have invested in: Accolade, Aporeto, BitSight, Slack, and DocuSign.

There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into finding and forming these partnerships.

About the Principal Role

The Principal is a deal quarterback responsible for driving the full lifecycle of an investment, including:

• Generating proprietary investment deal flow through thematic sector coverage and networking with entrepreneurs, investors and industry practitioners
• Leading market and financial due diligence and preparing internal investment presentations
• Supporting portfolio companies and attending board meetings
• Building relationships with technology and business executives at Comcast, NBCUniversal and Sky

Apply for the Principal Role if this is you…

• High energy and with an outgoing personality
• Tireless networker who has established an extensive network of peers, classmates, former colleagues, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists in the San Francisco Bay Area
• Highly articulate with exceptional presentation skills and robust quantitative capabilities in financial analysis and financial modeling
• 8–10 years of total professional experience, including 5+ years of technology experience as a software engineer, product manager or other technical role
• Education Level: Master’s degree or equivalent in the field of finance, business or related engineering degree
• Currently based in or ability to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area

About the Associate Role

The Associate is responsible for supporting all aspects of the investment lifecycle, including:

• Conducting market sizing, financial analysis and general quantitative modeling
• Preparing internal presentations and memorandums
• Performing due diligence and general transaction processing
• Researching market trends and formulating a perspective
• Networking with entrepreneurs, fellow venture investors, and Comcast, NBCUniversal, and Sky executives
• Occasional travel to attend industry conferences and on-site diligence

Do you fit this description?

• Investment banking, consulting, or venture / growth equity investment background with 2–4 years of professional experience
• Strong quantitative skills with an ability to build and operate Excel models for financial analysis
• Articulate with strong presentation skills, both in presenting verbally and in the creation of slides
• Bachelor degree from a top-tier University
• Currently based in or ability to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area
